We’re looking for a service‑driven and experienced Student Service Centre Manager to lead our Information Point and Student Support teams—services that provide the first point of contact, and guidance on a range of university topics for thousands of students, staff and visitors every year.
You’ll play a key role in monitoring service performance, shaping how our frontline services operate and making sure they meet the needs of a diverse university community. Also, you’ll contribute to service development, policy creation and quality‑assurance processes.
You’ll play a leading role in shaping how our services operate, take part in University‑wide projects, and build networks across the organisation to support service improvements.
About you
You are a people‑focused leader with a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Your experience working in large, complex service environments—ideally within higher education—means you’re comfortable navigating fast‑moving situations and balancing competing priorities.
You bring strong skills in resource planning, performance management and service monitoring. You’re confident using data and digital tools to understand service trends, evaluate service quality and make decisions that enhance the overall student experience.
Above all, you are an effective communicator who builds strong relationships, delivers training with clarity and coaches others to grow. You value fairness, consistency and continuous improvement, and you’re committed to creating a supportive environment for all.

UWE Bristol is a campus-based University, with vibrant campus communities that are central to student life.
In this role, you’ll be based across our Frenchay Campus, our Glenside Campus and our City Campus as you will be managing teams across multiple sites
You’ll spend most of your time on campus with the opportunity to work from home on the remaining days.
