European University Cyprus (EUC) plans to submit an application for the establishment of EUC Athens, a non-state, non-profit Legal Entity of University Education (NPPE). The initiative aims to create a globally competitive university campus in Athens that will contribute meaningfully to the enhancement of quality, internationalization, and outward-looking engagement of higher education in Greece, building on EUC’s proven academic excellence and its successful international expansion.

About the School of Law

The School of Law at European University Cyprus serves as a centre of excellence in legal education, research, and professional engagement. It offers fully accredited undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes that integrate rigorous legal theory with applied practice, international and European law, and emerging fields such as Legal Tech and Artificial Intelligence. Through strong links with legal institutions and the profession, an interdisciplinary and innovation-driven approach, and a clear international orientation, the School prepares graduates and scholars for leadership roles in legal practice, public service, diplomacy, research, and the evolving global legal landscape.

Invitation for Submission of Applications 

European University Cyprus invites the submission of applications from qualified and experienced academics who wish to be considered for faculty appointments at EUC Athens in the School of Law. Any appointments arising from this call will be made following regulatory approval and in accordance with institutional priorities and academic needs.

  • Human Rights Law
  • Environmental Law
  • Technology Law & Artificial Intelligence
  • Legal Informatics & Data Protection (Personal Data Law) 

**The aforementioned areas concern Greek law 

Applicants’ Qualifications & Documentation:

  • PhD holder with relevant expertise (note: ideally a minimum of three (3) years of postdoctoral university teaching and research experience is required for entry level posts.)
  • Fluency in English and Greek (for programs delivered in Greek)
  • Eligibility to work within European Union 

Faculty applications by interested candidates should include the following:

  • Cover Letter with a clear statement of expertise
  • Full Curriculum Vitae, including relevant experience, scientific activities, and all scientific publications
  • Proof of Research activity and teaching experience
  • Reference letters to be submitted by referees at a later stage
