An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Business Partner to join University Safety Services. Working as part of a central team of health and safety professionals, you will play a key role in implementing, maintaining and continually enhancing the University health and safety management system while championing a positive and proactive safety culture across the Institution.
Key responsibilities include delivering a consistent and professional health and safety business partner service to the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and several Professional Services Departments. You will provide expert advice and support across these areas, helping them meet their health and safety obligations. In addition, you will act as the strategic lead University’s arrangements for reporting and investigating accidents and incidents, ensuring robust processes that support continuous improvement and organisational learning.
You will hold, as a minimum, a Level 3 qualification in Health and Safety and hold an equivalent level of professional membership (e.g. TechIOSH). You will also bring proven experience of working in a comparable health and safety role.
This full-time post is available from 13 April 2026 on an indefinite basis.
