About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented researcher to contribute to an exciting rapid evidence review project on Gambling and Neurodiversity. You will join a small collaborative research group and work closely with the principial investigator Dr Hussien Elkholy (University of Sussex), in partnership with Prof. Sam Chamberlain (University of Southampton). In this role, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive literature searches and evidence gathering
  • Systematically evaluate and synthesise relevant research
  • Contribute to the preparation of a high‑quality evidence review
  • Support the writing of outputs for scientific presentations, peer‑reviewed publications, and accessible dissemination to diverse audiences.

About you

To apply for the research fellow position, you must be educated to a doctoral level in healthcare related discipline (e.g. Medicine, Psychology, Nursing) or other relevant fields to the theme of this work. You should have an excellent academic track record.

Pre-doctoral level can apply for the research assistant position, as long as their training/education is in a healthcare related discipline as above.

The role requires you to be a quick learner, have a friendly and amenable manner for working with research colleagues, be highly attentive to detail, and keen to learn and engage in active scholarship in relation to the research topic.
