The Department of Statistics is seeking to appoint a Statistics and Machine Learning (StatML) Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) Administrator.
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) CDT in StatML, is a four-year PhD/DPhil research programme. It trains the next generation of researchers in statistics and machine learning, who develop widely-applicable novel methodology and theory and create application-specific methods, leading to breakthroughs in real-world problems in government, medicine, industry and science. The programme is run jointly with Imperial College London, and is supported by the EPSRC, with additional support from within the Universities.
The postholder will join the team based at the Department of Statistics, and will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the CDT, including but not limited to financial administration, academic administration, events planning and management, and record-keeping. They will work in close collaboration with their counterpart at Imperial.
The postholder will manage studentship budgets for the department as a whole, and share duties with other members of the Professional Services team to provide effective, continuous support provision overall.
