The Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction (CSIC) is a world-leading centre of excellence in smart sensing, data analytics, digital technologies and AI for the built environment. Based at the University of Cambridge, CSIC works closely with industry, government and academia to enable smarter, more resilient and sustainable infrastructure across its whole life cycle.
We are seeking a CSIC Engagement Lead to work alongside the Director in delivering the Centre's day-to-day internal and external engagement activities and supporting operational decision-making. The postholder will be the main point of contact for CSIC's external partners, lead strategic engagement with industry and academic collaborators, and support the development of collaborative research programmes and funding bids. The role includes deputising for the CSIC Director when required, while also providing hands-on support to the wider CSIC team to ensure the smooth running of the Centre.
You will have experience of managing partnerships in a research or innovation environment, and drafting complex documents. Excellent interpersonal, networking and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders. Experience or knowledge of the construction or built-environment sector would be desirable.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
