Applications are invited for the appointment of a Specific-Purpose Contract role of Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Galway. The appointment will be made on a part-time (0.6FTE).
The successful applicant(s) will be required to fulfil relevant teaching and student supervision on our accredited Clinical Psychology Programme. Some teaching and supervision on our undergraduate programmes is also envisaged. Applications are required to have A PhD in Psychology (viva passed before application) and / or doctoral-level qualification in Clinical Psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or the British Psychological Society (BPS).
The School of Psychology is housed in a purpose-built facility in the centre of campus. The School is dynamic, innovative and recognised for teaching, research, and community contribution. The School of Psychology offers a suite of professionally accredited undergraduate and postgraduate (Higher Diploma, Masters and PhD) programmes. There are two active and successful research streams: Brain & Behaviour, and Health & Wellbeing. Researchers from both have participated in acquiring major national and international funding awards and we continue to develop a strong profile in quantity and quality of research output.
