About the role
We are currently recruiting a Research Associate to support an ESRC-FAPESP co-funded project led by Professors Sarah Halligan and Alicia Matijasevich (Universidade de São Paulo).
The project will examine longitudinal pathways linking childhood trauma, mental health and physical health among low-and-middle-income youth.
This project will apply innovative longitudinal data-analytic approaches to data from the 2004 Pelotas Birth Cohort, based in Brazil.
It will provide critical insight into well-established associations between exposure to trauma in childhood and increase risk of cardiometabolic diseases such as heart problems, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes in later life.
The post holder will be actively involved in i) designing quantitative analyses and data preparation (e.g., addressing missing data’, construction of variables), ii) quantitative data analysis (e.g., using structural equation modelling) according to open science practices, and iii) preparing manuscripts for publication and other dissemination activities.
The successful applicant will have excellent advanced longitudinal data analysis skills, and experience of working with longitudinal cohort data.
Ability to manage international collaborations is essential.
