About the Role
The People Team at the University of Warwick are looking to appoint an experienced Human Resources professional to the post of Head of People Partnering & Advisory, on a fixed term contract, for around 6 – 9 months.
Reporting to the Director of People Operations, the Head of People Partnering & Advisory is responsible for leading around six colleagues in the People Operations team, who provide a high quality, effective and seamless case and people advisory service, handling enquiries and resolving complex issues that require specialised knowledge to support colleagues across the University.
This is an exciting opportunity to have a huge impact on a People Team at a very well-established Coventry based employer, who employs around 7,000 people and is in the top 10 UK Universities.
About you
The ideal candidate will be confident in leading and building high performance teams and dealing with high volume, complex queries, whilst empowering their team to support early resolution wherever possible. They will have the ability to provide expert policy and employment advice at all levels with an in depth understanding of employment laws and regulations.
Through experience in managing teams in the past, they will bring strong coaching and development skills, to be able to work closely with trade unions, and support and collaborate colleagues at all levels across the University, as well as external organisations such as ACAS.
They will have the ability to use HR systems and technology, such as SuccessFactors, and be able to interpret relevant data and information, to effectively answer enquiries in a timely manner and drive continuous improvements.
