Job synopsis
If you are seeking an academic career in an inspiring and cohesive Nursing & Midwifery School that delivers excellent research, teaching, and societal impact, then the new Assistant Professor position in our school should be of interest to you. Our research leadership is strongly reflected in the track record of successfully securing national and international funding. These successes are accompanied by the school’s competitive publication and citation records. The school delivers four undergraduate and numerous postgraduate programmes and supervises PhD students. Evidence of high-impact publications and awareness of the potential impact of the publications beyond academia is expected. The successful candidate is expected to: teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels on accredited nursing programmes, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research, undertake administrative tasks associated with an academic position and undertake excellent research.

Contract type: 5 year fixed term*
*If PhD completed or near completion, the contract will become permanent. The school will give the successful applicant a 5-year period to complete their PhD and on completion the contract will become permanent. If PhD is not completed the contract will terminate.
Salary Scale: €48,955 - €66,556 p.a.
