About us:

King’s Business School is the ninth and newest faculty at King’s College London, emerging out of the renowned School of Management & Business. We are looking to recruit an outstanding candidate to join the Department of Accounting & Finance. There are presently 160 academic staff and a full range of undergraduate, masters and PhD programmes.

About the role:

The role holder will engage in high-quality research, pursue research funding and/or impact, attend research-related meetings, and participate in recognised academic networks and conferences. They will carry out academic leadership duties as requested by the Executive Dean or Head of Department. The role holder will also contribute to the delivery of high-quality education on undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes, using a variety of methods to teach classes, supervise projects, assess student learning and provide feedback that is timely, relevant and appropriate. 

This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract

About you:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

  • PhD in relevant subject area
  • An outstanding portfolio of research projects, with a track-record of publications in internationally leading journals in a closely related discipline
  • Evidence of effective teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Experience of successfully undertaking academic leadership roles
  • Evidence of world-class research capacity

Desirable criteria

  • Evidence of success in securing external research funding and generating income
