This is an exciting opportunity to join the busy, growing team at the Data Science Institute (DSI). The DSI forms the institutional hub for data science and AI activity at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Our mission is to convene, catalyse and communicate LSE activity in data science and AI through research, policy engagement, education and events.
As part of a friendly administrative team you will help to ensure the smooth operation of the Institute. You will provide high-level administrative support to the DSI Senior Academic Team. Your duties will involve managing incoming emails and correspondence, prioritising items of business, organising and maintaining diaries, scheduling in-person as well as remote meetings, making travel arrangements, and acting as an ambassador for the Senior Academic Team. This is a London campus-based role, with potential for some hybrid working or part-time.
It is essential that you have a professional outlook, excellent communication and relationship building skills, and can provide an exceptional level of customer service at all times. You will need a wide range of office and administrative skills, together with a flexible ‘can do’ attitude to the varied requirements of the role. This is a responsible role that requires a high level of confidentiality, diplomacy, reliability, efficiency, accuracy, and organisation in order to juggle competing demands.
For further information about the Data Science Institute please visit https://www.lse.ac.uk/DSI.
We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, some potential for hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
