The Oxford Department of International Development (ODID) is seeking to recruit a Outreach Officer who will be working within the Technology and Industrialization for Development Centre (TIDE). The postholder will enhance the Technology and Industrialisation for Development Centre (TIDE Centre)’s public profile by leading its outreach, events programme, and communications activity. The role will be responsible for developing and delivering a proactive stakeholder engagement strategy, organising and managing high-profile events - including lectures, workshops, and senior-level convenings - and leading communications activity to promote TIDE’s work, research, and impact.
Acting as a key point of contact for external audiences, the postholder will build, manage, and sustain strategic partnerships, supported by effective monitoring and reporting of engagement activity. The role will also coordinate associated administrative and financial processes, working closely with the TIDE team and relevant University services to ensure delivery in line with institutional policies and objectives.
This is a fixed-term, full-time appointment for 18 months. The role will be Oxford-based, with flexibility for remote working, and occasional travel may be required.
The successful candidate will have a good general level of education (A-level or equivalent professional experience). They will also have a demonstrated experience of contributing to print and digital communications activities, social media content and supporting media relations activity. An excellent writing skills and attention to detail, are essential for this role.
