Faculty Curriculum Manager

University of Hull - COO Office

Location: Kingston upon Hull, Hybrid
Salary: £39,906
Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent
Placed On: 23rd February 2026
Closes: 13th March 2026
Job Ref: JR101700

At the University of Hull, we’ve been inspiring people to think differently and achieve extraordinary things for almost 100 years. As a university driven by a strong sense of purpose, we pride ourselves on academic excellence, cutting edge-edge facilities and the opportunities we offer staff and students to help tackle the biggest global challenges. We are equally proud to be part of the city of Hull - a place renowned for its warmth, resilience and ambition.

Hull University Business School (HUBS) will play a vital part in the revitalisation and growth of the University, as it approaches its centenary year. HUBS live and breathe the principles we believe must guide every organisation: responsible management, sustainability, and digitisation. We are the birthplace of Authentic Business Learning (ABL): our real-life, hands-on, hard-working approach to teaching. We focus on making a lasting, positive impact on business and society, and we forge connections with partners who share this goal. We are among fewer than 2% of the world's best business schools that hold the double crown with accreditations from AACSB and AMBA.

Following extensive consultation, the University has recently adopted a new professional services delivery model. A key element of this is the resourcing of academic schools to provide professional support at local level, which are also aligned at faculty and functional levels. This professional support role will work on behalf of the Business School and will be located alongside HUBS colleagues.

About the role

This Curriculum Manager role will work collaboratively with a range of different colleagues to operationalise Business School processes. This includes programme approval, monitoring, amendment and review. This role will play a vital part in quality assurance processes, including curriculum and module feedback, and other key areas, such as reporting, accreditations, and misconduct. The post-holder will work closely with the Head of Accreditations, as well as Associate Deans (including Education and Student Experience). Other important relationships include colleagues in the HUBS Executive and Operations Teams, and equivalents in other faculties. The role will line manage the HUBS Curriculum Team, reporting into the HUBS Director of Strategy and Operations.

We are seeking an effective and organised individual, to manage and motivate the Curriculum team. The ideal candidate will be confident dealing with data and information from multiple sources, including specifying, interrogating and interpreting data, ensuring quality and accuracy. The right candidate will possess the confidence and experience to deliver reports, often at short notice, and be able to provide advice and guidance around processes, policies and regulations. Previous experience of HE in a curriculum or similar role would be advantageous, but we are interested in finding the right individual with a willingness to learn and a passion for service delivery. If you can display the key skills, experiences and competencies to excel in this role, we would urge you to apply.

The post-holder will be expected to develop their professional knowledge and networks. There is also an expectation to support key University and Business School events, such as (but not limited to) Open Days and Graduation ceremonies, which may occasionally fall outside of standard working hours
