The School of Natural Sciences at the University of Kent is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Biomedical Science to contribute to the delivery & ongoing development of our IBMS accredited Biomedical Science degree, combining high quality teaching with scholarship that informs and enhances professional and career focused education.
The School of Natural Sciences is a collaborative community spanning biosciences, conservation, chemistry, forensic science and sport and exercise science. While your primary focus will be Biomedical Science, you may also contribute to teaching across our undergraduate programmes in Biology & Biochemistry, particularly in molecular and cellular biology. The University of Kent is a founding partner of the Kent and Medway Medical School, providing opportunities for interdisciplinary engagement and for contributing to medically relevant education within a wider academic context.
The post is offered on the Education, Scholarship and Professional Practice pathway and is suited to a practitioner committed to high quality teaching in higher education and the continued development of professionally accredited provision. You will bring a clear understanding of IBMS accreditation requirements and the expectations placed on graduates working towards HCPC registration, ensuring these standards are embedded throughout the programme.
