You will provide high-quality financial insight, challenge, and decision support to senior stakeholders and budget holders.
You will lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for Estates & Facilities, working closely with Directors, Heads of Estates & Facilities disciplines, and operational managers. Through strong business partnering, you will support effective decision-making and contribute to the successful delivery of the Estates Strategy.
Key responsibilities include:

- Leading annual planning, forecasting and budget reviews
- Developing financial models and analysis for business cases, projects, leases and statutory returns
- Supporting month-end, mid-year and year-end processes
- Supporting capital planning and capital project cost reporting
- Identifying financial risks, efficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Managing and developing staff
- Representing Estates & Facilities at University committees and working groups
You will be a qualified accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA or CIMA), or part-qualified with a requirement to achieve full qualification within the 12-month probationary period and have experience in a business partnering role within a large or complex organisation. You will be confident influencing senior stakeholders, and you will also demonstrate:
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- The ability to translate complex financial information into clear advice
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft 365, and adaptability to new systems
- A commitment to equality, diversity, customer service and the University’s values
