Applications are invited for a nine-month research support position (maternity cover) in the group of Dr Madeline Lancaster at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB).
The successful applicant will join a multi-disciplinary research programme aimed at understanding brain development in cerebral organoids. Specifically, to undertake research to investigate human-specific differences in neuronal differentiation and maturation.
The successful applicant will hold a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in science, informatics, engineering or mathematics. A basic understanding of molecular and cell biology and experience of basic tissue culture skills and techniques are essential. It is also essential that you can demonstrate an ability to plan and carry out experiments, collate and analyse data and have a good understanding of lab health and safety procedures.
This is a full-time position, but part-time or flexible hours may be considered.
