The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. We are looking to recruit a full-time Student Information Helpdesk Assistant to join our Education Services department. Based on the Student Information Helpdesk in the new state of the art Education Centre on the Tavistock Place campus, you will be delivering a student-focused, professional, friendly, and efficient service.
The role is multi-competency, providing a first stop shop for student enquiries (in-person, via email and Case Management system), offering routine information, advice and guidance on a breadth of topics, making appointments with Student Support Services staff, providing signposting and onward referral as appropriate.
You should hold an undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience) along with experience of working in a post 16 Education setting with an understanding of the student journey. Strong administrative skills with up-to-date knowledge and experience of IT packages, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email and internet is also essential. The post is full time 35 hours per week, 1 FTE and permanent.
The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 3 in the range £30,231 - £33,925 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
