We are seeking an inspiring Chief Communications and Marketing Officer (CCMO) to provide strategic leadership and oversight across areas of Communications, Brand & Marketing, Student Recruitment and Admissions, Development and Alumni Relations, and Global Partnership.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer (CCMO) will shape how the University is seen locally, nationally and globally. This high-profile leadership role requires strategic vision and deep expertise in brand, marketing and communications to drive reputation, growth and international reach.

You will lead the development of a clear, compelling institutional narrative, acting as guardian of the University’s brand and ensuring consistent, impactful communications across all audiences. Through integrated strategies, you will strengthen positioning, enhance distinctiveness and drive student attraction, recruitment and retention in a competitive global market.

Working closely with the President and Vice-Chancellor, COO and Executive Board, you will serve as a senior spokesperson and trusted adviser, guiding the institution through opportunity and change. Leading diverse professional teams, you will foster an inclusive, high-performance culture and champion a commercially focused, audience-centred approach that delivers measurable, long-term value.

About you

You will be a senior leader with experience in marketing and communications in large and complex organisation with proven success in marketing, communications strategy, brand building, strategy development and implementation.

You will demonstrate:

  • A strong strategic mindset, with the ability to translate vision into deliverable plans
  • An instinctive motivator and growth minded leader who understands how to engage, attract and inspire diverse audiences, whether students, members or wider communities
  • A confident, inclusive leadership style and a track record of leading change and transformation
  • Effective influencing skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
  • A clear commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in both leadership practice and service delivery
