This is a full‑time, permanent, campus‑based role supporting students across the full lifecycle—from pre‑arrival to departure. The Student Engagement Administrator plays a key role in NYU London’s Student Life team, providing frontline support, coordinating student programmes, and contributing to an inclusive, engaged, and well‑supported academic community. The postholder will work on‑site across NYU London locations, collaborating with colleagues in Student Life, Academic Affairs, Operations, Facilities, and external partners.

Student Support & Frontline Services (35%)

  • Provide welcoming, responsive support at the Student Life desk, by email, and by phone.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including ID cards, letters, Oyster cards, student records, and general enquiries.
  • Support students accessing health and wellbeing services, including guidance on UK healthcare, insurance processes, and occasional accompaniment to appointments under protocol.
  • Contribute to arrivals, orientations, tours, and key lifecycle activities across the academic year.

Programming & Cultural Activities (25%)

  • Assist with planning and delivering Student Life programming such as workshops, volunteering, and cultural excursions.
  • Coordinate logistics including bookings, promotion, attendance tracking, and expense reconciliation.
  • Provide on‑site support during events and gather feedback for programme

Community Engagement & Focus Areas (20%)

  • Lead assigned focus areas (e.g., identity‑based groups, volunteering, clubs, wellbeing initiatives).
  • Develop activities that foster belonging, engagement, and intercultural learning.
  • Build partnerships with community organisations and London‑based universities.

Student Leadership & External Partnerships (10%)

  • Support student leaders and groups such as First Year Student Council and Global Ambassadors.
  • Promote cross‑university engagement and administer participation processes with external partners.

Additional Duties & On‑Call Responsibilities (10%)

  • Provide support during peak periods including orientations, arrivals, and major events.
  • Participate in the on‑call duty rota, responding to urgent student concerns using established protocols.
  • Work occasional evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
