About the Role
The multi-skilled, mechanical biased role is key to delivering reliable maintenance and reactive engineering that will support the achievement of the Queen Mary Strategic Plan, enabling all staff and students to continue to work and learn efficiently and effectively to achieve their ambitions whilst being proud and inclusive.
About You
The successful candidates will all need to have demonstrable skills in their discipline and be a highly self-motivated professional team player with a proven record of accomplishment and have a passion to successfully deliver and manage an effective maintenance service.
A City & Guilds Level 3 Mechanical Installations/Maintenance or Fully Completed Mechanical Apprenticeship covering the minimum of up to a level 3 qualification or equivalent is an essential requirement for the role.
The Multi-skilled Mechanical bias Engineer is a permanent night shift post (average of 42 hours per week – working 4 nights on, four nights off shift pattern, which includes weekends, public holidays and University closures). The salary will be in the range of £48,018 - £55,942 per annum, plus £4,167.32 per annum Shift Allowance.
Benefits include 24 days annual leave; pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan, all posts are inclusive of London Allowance.
