Department and Job Purpose
To support the Buttery and food service teams with washing, storing and stocking of plates, cutlery and food service crockery. Assistance with the preparation of functions and rooms and processing of deliveries. Support to full time Plate Room Assistant.

Part time working 55 hours over a 2-week rota (Week 1: 33.5 hrs, Week 2: 21.5hrs). Shifts as below for guidance with an unpaid 30-minute break where the shift is 6 hours or more.

Sunday – split shift | 10.00 am - 2.00 pm = 4 hours 6.00 pm - 9.00 pm = 3 hours

Monday – split shift | 8.30 am - 2.30 pm = 6 hours 5.30 pm - 8.30 pm = 3 hours

Summary of Terms and Conditions of Employment
Appointment: This is a permanent part time post and there will be an initial probationary period of six months. The appointment will be conditional on verification of the successful candidate’s ‘Right to Work’ checks and subject to the receipt of satisfactory references and medical clearance through the University’s Occupational Health Services.
Salary: £18,690.38 per annum pro rata per annum (full time equivalent - £27,186 per annum).
Other Information: No smoking is allowed in any part of the College.
