Are you an organised, detail-focused professional with strong administrative skills and an interest in research and knowledge exchange in a Higher Education context? We are looking for a Senior Research and Knowledge Exchange Officer to support & promote a wide range of activities including events, training programmes and conferences. The role involves providing marketing and communications services to promote the ILD and its activities and to ensure key information reaches both internal and external stakeholders in an effective and timely way.
Embedded within the Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences, the ILD seeks to reduce inequalities and promote lifelong good health and wellbeing, inclusive education, decent work, and peace and justice for all. We are committed to innovative, multidisciplinary research that supports the vulnerable in our society.
Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the ILD Research and Knowledge Exchange Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the ILD, and provide administrative support for a wide range of activities related to ILD’s research & knowledge exchange work. This is a varied role involving interaction with a wide range of university colleagues and stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For
You will need strong communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with administrative and academic colleagues. You must have excellent organisational skills and be able to plan and prioritise a busy schedule of work to achieve objectives. You will have experience of working in a large and complex organisation, ideally within higher education.
We are looking for someone with strong IT skills who enjoys multi-tasking, having several complex projects on the go at any one time. Your track record should include running events, managing budgets, using records systems and databases, together with a commitment to continuous improvement and solving challenges through innovation.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who likes variety, has the ability to work well under pressure and is good at multitasking, and would like to build on their events / communications & administrative experience.
