LSE is committed to building a diverse, equitable and truly inclusive university

Salary from £36,513 to £41,565 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £44,468 pa inclusive of London allowance

LSE is a world-leading university specialising in teaching and research in the social sciences, with a diverse international student and staff body and a global reputation for academic excellence. Research and Innovation Division (R&I) aims to provide high quality support to LSE’s academics, students and alumni across all stages of the research lifecycle and ensure responsible research practice which complies with relevant regulations and operates with rigour and integrity.

We are seeking to recruit a full time Research Governance and Culture Officer to support the work of several School committees for which R&I has oversight, and provide administrative and organisational support for research culture, impact and innovation activities at the School.

Candidates should have excellent command of English and the ability communicate information effectively to academics and non-academics. Experience of servicing committees and organising all aspects of effective meetings is essential, as is as is the ability to work across different teams, pro-actively and flexibly, and experience of working to a high standard and taking a professional pride in delivering excellent service.

We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.  LSE is a campus-based university and staff are expected to attend the London campus in fulfilling their role. Most staff balance working from the campus or remotely. For this particular role, the duties are such that we can offer flexible working patterns, while noting that many committees will be held in person on campus. We therefore encourage applications from applicants who can travel to the London campus, and for in-person committee meetings in particular.
