About the role

Working within the Sussex Mental Health Research (SuMHeR) centre and the ARC-KSS mental health research theme under the supervision and guidance of Prof Kathryn Greenwood you will coordinate activity within the centre to a high standard.

The role, supporting the ARC-KSS-MH theme, contributes to activity that aims to improve mental health and wellbeing, and address linked physical health and inequalities in access across Kent Surrey and Sussex.

The role will involve a variety of tasks that will evolve as the research develops. Core tasks will include:

  • Organising and acting as meeting secretary for core and sub theme meetings
    • Pre- and post-meeting organisation
    • Paperwork collation and dissemination
    • Minuting
    • Coordinating actions
  • Acting as a point of contact between staff and other internal and external stakeholders including NHS, charity and industry partners
  • Publicity and dissemination of activities and findings
  • Potential for desk-based research - collecting and collating research-related information

About you

Are you an experienced, well organised and motivated administrator who would relish using your skills to contribute to exciting mental health research in your local area?

You will be a confident administrator, with strong IT and organisational skills, who is able to engage well and communicate clearly with a range of staff and external stakeholders

You will work well both independently and with guidance as part of the wider ARC-KSS Mental health team.

You will be versatile, outgoing and enjoy working closely with colleagues to deliver a high standard of support while having the freedom to create new systems.

In return you will join a friendly and supportive team, both within the research centre and the wider Faculty community.
