About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Professional Trainer in Advanced Electronic Design to join our world‑leading School of Electronics and Computer Science. In this role, you will support our mission to deliver high‑quality, impactful education and knowledge‑exchange activities across the UK University sector and with industry partners for upskilling UK engineers.
Working as part of SoC labs (https://soclabs.org/), you will design, develop and deliver workshops, lectures and online learning content in areas including digital electronic design, system‑on‑chip (SoC) design, verification and implementation. You will also be supported to deepen your specialist expertise, ensuring your teaching remains informed by current research and industrial practice.
SoC Labs are committed to supporting a growing global community of hardware engineers, with an aim to simplify prototyping of application specific integrated circuits (ASICs). This role will support SoC labs in being an integral part of the upskilling of engineers in the area of digital electronic design, implementation and verification – bridging the gap between academia and industry.
This role is hybrid, with both campus and home‑based working, and will involve regular travel to partner universities and research organisations within the UK, with some international conference travel as required.
