The Department of Computer Science and Technology is an academic department that encompasses computer science along with many aspects of engineering, technology and mathematics. We have a world-wide reputation for academic research with consistently high research ratings, with around 340 academic staff, research associates, and PhD students actively engaged in research projects within the department. Key to our continued success is our ability to attract talented staff and provide them with a stimulating environment that promotes a strong sense of community whilst valuing and recognising individual contribution.

The role holder will develop and deliver a creative, multi-channel communications strategy for the TESSERA project, raising the profile of the research among diverse audiences - including the scientific community, policymakers, industry partners, funders, media, and the general public - and supporting stakeholder engagement, event coordination, and research dissemination.

Communications Officer role will support the project's growing profile and expanding collaborations across academia, government, and industry. The role will involve translation of complex technical and scientific outputs into compelling content for specialist and non-specialist audiences, managing the project's digital presence and stakeholder relationships, and contributing to the effective dissemination of research outputs to maximise reach and impact.
