About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Facilities, the Deputy Facilities Manager leads the delivery of hard services across eight properties, oversees minor and major works projects, manages technical staff, and contributes strategic direction to building maintenance while supporting the management of a substantial non-staff budget and ensuring high-quality facilities and services across the School and wider University.
About you:
You bring significant experience in facilities management, delivering maintenance and small works in line with industry standards, alongside a strong track record of managing hard FM services within a large, complex organisation. You are financially confident, with proven experience in budget control and monitoring across multiple cost centres, ensuring effective use of resources while maintaining high operational standards across facilities. You also have a solid understanding of project management techniques and methodologies as applied to facilities environments, enabling you to successfully plan and deliver works projects, complemented by detailed knowledge and practical experience of Building Management Systems (BMS).
