The Pandemic Institute (TPI) is seeking an experienced, proactive Communications professional to help it deliver an ambitious global programme of work. TPI provides resilience and response to pandemic events, ensuring that never again is the world as unprepared as it was for COVID-19. TPI delivers an end-to-end approach for pandemic preparedness, including prediction, preparation, prevention, response and recovery, thereby becoming a global hub of scientific excellence with societal impact.

The role-holder will:

  • Be responsible for implementing TPI’s communications strategy whilst providing ongoing strategic advice and support to the Director and Chief Operating Officer on communications policy.
  • Have extensive professional knowledge, networking skills and expertise to support the delivery of TPI’s communications and scientific strategy.
  • Oversee the corporate narrative in line with TPI’s objectives and values, promoting TPI’s scientific objectives and activities, and raising awareness of these among internal and external stakeholders. This will include leading the content, design, production and distribution of all online and printed communications.
  • Work closely with TPI Programme Managers and other internal stakeholders to support innovation in key communication areas.

As a key member of the Operational Support team, the role holder will be expected deliver projects with independence, work across disciplines and lead with transparency and integrity, supporting inclusion and diversity in all aspects of their work.
