We are seeking highly motivated post-doctoral researchers of high calibre to join our research program working in the area of electronic textiles. The role is suited to candidates from either academia or industry, with experience of both is an advantage. The position is funded by the EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council) project: SUSTAIN - Sustainable heterogenoUs e-textileS for impercepTible humAn INterfaces. SUSTAIN will tackle fundamental challenges across electronic textile-based sensing, wireless, electrochemical and design technologies with a focus on sustainable developments towards practical user-centric e-textile systems. This position is located within WP4 relating to E-textiles and garment design working under the supervision and direction of WP4 lead Dr Marie O’Mahony.
You will be based in the Winchester School of Art (WSA) and join an interdisciplinary University of Southampton research team from across Winchester School of Art and the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences and work with collaborators at the University of Glasgow.
