Join a forward-thinking and rapidly growing university that is transforming higher education through innovation and digital learning. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer in Computing to lead the Level 6 Capstone Project module, guiding final-year students through one of the most significant and rewarding stages of their academic journey.

In this role, you will deliver engaging teaching sessions both on campus and online, supporting students as they design, develop, and complete their final-year projects. You will oversee the entire capstone project lifecycle, ensuring that students receive high-quality academic guidance and that projects meet rigorous academic and industry standards.

Working closely with colleagues across our UK study centres, you will coordinate project supervision by allocating students to appropriate supervisors based on expertise and workload. You will provide academic leadership to supervisors, ensuring clear expectations, consistent marking practices, and effective student support throughout the project period. Acting as the central point of contact for project-related queries, you will help resolve academic issues, monitor student progress, and maintain a supportive and well-structured project environment.

Alongside teaching and coordination responsibilities, you will play an important role in assessment and quality assurance. This includes supporting approval and marking processes, contributing to internal moderation, and ensuring fairness and consistency across assessments. You will also provide detailed formative and summative feedback that helps students strengthen their research, technical, and analytical skills.

As part of a collaborative academic community, you will contribute to the ongoing development of the computing curriculum. This includes enhancing project-based modules, updating learning materials, and ensuring that programmes reflect current computing trends and industry expectations. Innovation in teaching and assessment is encouraged, with a strong emphasis on research-informed learning and digital-first delivery.

Student support is central to the role. You will offer academic advice and guidance to final-year students undertaking major projects, helping them navigate research challenges, maintain academic integrity, and successfully complete their degree. By fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, you will play a key role in supporting student success and progression.

We are looking for an enthusiastic educator with expertise in computing and a commitment to interactive, hands-on teaching. You should have experience supervising student projects, delivering engaging learning experiences, and working collaboratively within a diverse academic team.

In return, we offer a supportive and innovative environment, generous annual leave, an excellent pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development. Staff can also study courses free of charge and access a range of additional benefits.

If you are passionate about shaping the next generation of digital professionals and want to contribute to a dynamic and expanding university, we would love to hear from you.
