We are looking to recruit a part-time (0.4 FTE) Lecturer within the Department of Mental Health and Well-being. This post arises from an exceptional period of growth in the School of Education and the continuing expansion of the Department capacity.
The Department of Mental Health and Wellbeing, offers a range of accredited undergraduate and postgraduate courses and programmes that are highly attractive to students, including a Doctorate in Counselling, Two Masters in Counselling (Person-centred and Pluralistic), PGCert in Supervision, PGCert in Counselling for Children and Young People, a Masters in Mindfulness and an MSci Counselling, Psychology and Education, sitting alongside range of undergraduate-level courses. Our progammes are both highly respected with appropriate professional body validation, accreditation and partnership endorsement. We are seeking to build on this strong foundation through the appointment of a lecturer with expertise and experience in Pluralistic Therapy to support the growth of the MSc and Doctoral programmes.
You will contribute to our existing and highly regarded undergraduate and postgraduate courses as well as having the opportunity to influence and develop new areas subject to your expertise. Through collaborative planning and teaching, you will deliver excellent teaching and learning opportunities, as well as supporting students’ pastoral, learning, and assessment, needs. With a passion for a high-quality student experience, you will support the on-going embedding of a culture of research-enhanced teaching within the department.
Being positive, creative, and collaborative by disposition, you will also be suitably academically qualified, and possess professional qualification in counselling psychology, psychotherapy, or counselling. You will be experienced in the delivery of Counselling/Psychotherapy programmes, including both in a face-to-face and online medium.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 7, £47,389 - £56,535 per annum, pro rata for 0.4 FTE, with placement according to qualifications and experience.
