This is an exciting opportunity for an HCPC-registered diagnostic radiographer to join the Department of Allied Health Professions, Sport and Exercise. We are seeking to appoint an innovative and experienced diagnostic radiographer as a Clinical Skills Educator within the School of Human and Health Sciences. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, assessment and support of clinical skills and relevant theory.
The Department of Allied Health Professions, Sport and Exercise is situated in the School of Human and Health Sciences. The Department currently offers a wide range of excellent educational provision across six allied health professions, midwifery, public health and sport.
The University of Huddersfield is a thriving university with a modern campus offering fantastic work and leisure facilities. Our excellent facilities include state-of-the-art teaching, research and clinical provision on the National Health Innovation Campus in Huddersfield, including a new clinical diagnostics centre and diagnostic radiography simulation suite.
We have a diverse student body and professional partnerships within health and social care. Huddersfield is a lively town, close to beautiful countryside and with excellent road and rail links to Manchester, Leeds, and Sheffield. In 2023, the University achieved a TEF Gold award and its apprenticeship provision was graded as “Outstanding” by Ofsted.
You will take on the role of Skills Educator, supporting our students, who will learn within our new, purpose-built diagnostic radiography simulation facilities.
Registration with the HCPC as a diagnostic radiographer is essential, alongside clinical experience in the UK, as well as experience assessing diagnostic radiography students in practice. You will have a degree in a relevant area and be a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or have the capacity to obtain a fellowship within 12 months of the appointment.
