About the Role
The Clinical Trial Practitioner will be part of the Rheumatology Clinical Trials team at the Bart’s Health Arthritis Centre, Mile End Hospital, contributing to the delivery of a large portfolio of clinical trials with a focus on precision medicine. The role will primarily involve assisting the clinicians and research nurses in identifying and recruiting patients to a portfolio of rheumatology trials, and in conducting trial visits according to the protocols and good clinical practice (GCP), as well as all other administrative duties relating to the trials including data entry and maintaining documentation such as patient records and investigator site files.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience working in a clinical research environment and/or a healthcare setting and be passionate about improving outcomes for patients. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population is essential. The ideal candidate would also have knowledge of medical terminology, be able to demonstrate competent IT skills, and have experience of data entry and be familiar with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
EMR opened in May 2007 and is led by Professor Costantino Pitzalis. You will join a 60-strong research team dedicated to understanding the disease pathogenesis and improving the treatment of several musculoskeletal diseases including rheumatoid Arthritis, Sjogren’s syndrome and osteoarthritis. EMR is part of the newly awarded Biomedical Research Centre (BRC).
