Are you an experienced events professional skilled in planning and managing outstanding events, online and in-person? Do you want to use your knowledge and experience to successfully plan and deliver engagement activities and opportunities to graduates of Leeds University Business School?
Alumni relations are critical for a world class Business School in developing lifelong, mutually beneficial relationships with its graduates. We strive to deliver activity for our alumni to enhance their knowledge, provide networking and professional development opportunities, encourage volunteering and keep them updated with news of their fellow alumni and developments within the Business School.
Drawing on your experience of events planning you will create and project-manage a high-quality, purpose-driven calendar of activity across multiple channels including digital and physical events, email, social media and website. You will be involved in organising events, delivering campaigns, writing copy, commissioning design, photography and other marketing communications duties, shaping the messaging, tone and style to meet a particular objective or audience.
You will be experienced in seeing an event all the way through, from initial idea to implementation and review, combining high level organisation skills with a commitment to the best attendee experience. You will have strong collaborative skills and be able to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities and the role that events could play in addressing them. You will also have excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills, with experience of manipulating and maintaining user data.
You will have communications experience, with excellent written and verbal communications skills, a keen eye for detail, creative flair and the confidence to help develop relationships and networks with alumni, colleagues and a wide range of stakeholders. You will act as the first point of contact with Business School alumni, so will be a confident and professional communicator.
Working in the Business School the Alumni team works very closely with the central Advancement team as part of a professionally aligned service.
The nature of the role means that there will be a requirement for occasional weekend and evening working in the UK, with potential opportunities to travel overseas.
Please note that due to Home Office visa requirements, this role may only be suitable for first-time Skilled Worker visa applicants if they are eligible for salary concessions. For more information please visit: www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa
