We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Senior Lecturer and Programme Director in Counselling Psychology to join our Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology team. The post-holder is expected to have a record of excellence in teaching and clinical practice. For these roles, we are seeking applications from candidates with experience of qualitative, quantitative or mixed research methods in Counselling Psychology, as well as a record of clinical practice, supervision and teaching in systemic and/or psychodynamic approaches.
Senior Lecturers on this doctoral programme are expected to be well-versed in, and able to contribute to both research and clinical aspects of Counselling Psychology, in delivering relevant modules as well as evaluating respective assessments, and typically assume the roles of personal tutor and research supervisor. We believe that our diligent attention to our students and to our curriculum has resulted in a vibrant, dynamic teaching and learning environment which has been mutually rewarding for staff and students.
The successful candidate will be a Practitioner Psychologist who is able and motivated to contribute to the clinical expertise, teaching, research and administration of the Department, and to the delivery of a high-quality teaching programme on the Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. The successful candidate will have the knowledge, skills and experience to be appointed as the Programme Director of the Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology.
