The Department of Computer Science is seeking to recruit an experienced Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence. The person appointed will have an undergraduate degree in Computing, Computer Science, Mathematics or a relevant area. A PhD in a relevant field is essential.

You will have experience teaching a broad range of computing subjects, including artificial intelligence. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate specialist expertise in one or more of the following areas:

- Machine learning and deep learning
- Generative AI and natural language processing
- Computer vision
- Knowledge representation and reasoning, and knowledge graphs
- Automated planning
- Robotics and autonomous systems

A familiarity with the industrial IT environment is desirable, as is experience of supervising PhD students and soliciting research funding, though all necessary training will be provided in the role.

You will have strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, and demonstrate a commitment to your own professional development, as well as the development of others. You will be supportive of equal opportunities, able to work effectively as part of a team, and keen to contribute to innovative approaches in both research and teaching.
