About us:
For almost 200 years, King’s has been a place where ideas turn into action. We have recently launched our new strategy: King’s Strategy 2030, which sets out how we will take that purpose forward over the coming years, in an environment where higher education and society is changing dramatically.
We are seeking an outstanding professional to join the university’s Strategic Planning team to help us take the next steps on that journey. We are a small, motivated and development-focused team, and you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects and with a wide range of stakeholders across the university.
About the role:
The Strategic Planning team supports the university in effective strategy development, implementation and planning, including strategy development projects, institutional strategy implementation, portfolio management and the university’s integrated planning process (IPP). Strategic Planning is a small team based in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, who works widely with colleagues from across the university on range of projects.
The team is focused on implementation of King’s Strategy 2030, which was launched in January 2026. This role works across the range of the teams activities. This will include supporting ongoing strategy implementation, integrated planning, investment prioritisation, and programme portfolio management. The post-holder will work on a range of strategic special projects across a broad spectrum of the institution’s work.
The postholder will work across a wide range of topics and strategic issues. The postholder will be expected to lead on projects with institution-wide implications, often complex, ambiguous and/or high-value, with relatively limited direction.
This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
