The King’s Health Partners Clinical Trials Office (KHP-CTO) is a collaboration between King’s College London, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Established to provide a single interface for those wishing to conduct clinical research within the partner organisations, and to ensure that there are common, efficient processes for the set up and administration of clinical trials.
About the roleThe above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.
This is a full time (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
1. Relevant experience of commercial clinical trials within the NHS and/or Industry
2. Strong communication skills, including possessing the confidence to proactively engage with stakeholders (making ad hoc calls), negotiate, and influence
3. Excellent organisational and time management skills
4. The ability to build successful working relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
5. The ability to work to SOPs and local working processes
6. High level of attention to detail
7. Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically
8. Strong computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Desirable criteria
1. Experience of setting up commercial clinical trials
2. Knowledge and understanding of the required governance for clinical trials
3. Knowledge and understanding of the model commercial contract templates and NCVR
