We are seeking an NMC-registered nurse with a passion for, and experience of, supporting pre‑registration learners in clinical practice and/or higher education settings.
Nursing is a firmly established and exciting area of provision within the Faculty of Health & Wellbeing at the University of Winchester. Having undergone NMC major modification last year we offer an exciting and refreshed curriculum and assessment strategy for our learners. We currently offer a 2-year Nursing Associate Apprenticeship, as well as BN (Hons) Nursing and Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship pathways in three fields (Adult, Child and Mental Health) leading to NMC registration.
We anticipate that the post holder will be able to teach across the three fields of nursing.
Although our pre‑registration programmes cover Adult, Child and Mental Health Nursing, we embed the principles of Learning Disability Nursing throughout the curriculum and therefore also welcome applications from Learning Disability–qualified nurses.
Also the post holder will contribute to the Faculty’s development and delivery of current and new undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and courses, enhancing the links between the Programme Team, wider faculty and employers/practice partners to ensure a robust and effective teaching and practice learning framework.
If you would like to arrange an informal discussion regarding this post, please contact
Rachel Locke (Head of School for Nursing, Midwifery and Social Care) at rachel.locke@winchester.ac.uk.
