The Role

This role is based at the National Institute of Teaching & Education (NITE) Milton Keynes, MK5 8FR

This is an exciting opportunity to join NITE as a Student Selection Officer supporting on the selection process for all Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) courses. Our international teacher training programmes are growing, so the role will especially focus on providing a professional and knowledgeable response to all enquiries and applications for these students, whilst ensuring that quality assurance processes are followed.

Reporting to the Student Selection Manager, you will oversee the operations and admissions process for our teacher training portfolio’s from enquiry through the application process and to enrolment, ensuring a customer focused service is provided. You will provide a professional and knowledgeable response to all enquires and support the successful recruitment to courses.

Our Successful Candidate

You will be educated to a good level of GCSE (grade C or above) in Maths and English. A-level or higher would be advantageous. Your employment background will be customer service focused and you will have previous experience of working in an office environment, performing a range of administrative tasks. Previous experience of working in an education setting or an educational organisation would be advantage.

You will have experience of processing information within pre-defined systems either manually or using IT systems, experience of Microsoft Office would be an advantage. You will also be able to demonstrate your ability to prioritse workloads and work to deadline.

Experience of stakeholder management with the ability to communicate with a range of people from suppliers and external contractors to students and academics is essential.
