The Division of Allied Health is seeking to appoint a skilled Laboratory Technician to support the operation of our clinical and tissue laboratories. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of all laboratory activities, including day‑to‑day operational oversight, equipment maintenance, stock management, development of new protocols, and the provision of expert technical support to both staff and students.
Our Division is a leading provider of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Nutrition, Dietetics, Exercise and Nutrition Science, Food Science and Innovation, Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation, and Lifestyle Medicine. Many of our courses hold professional accreditation from the Association for Nutrition and the British Dietetic Association, reflecting our commitment to high‑quality teaching and applied scientific training.
We are seeking candidates with significant technical experience and strong practical expertise in biomedical/cell biology/molecular biology techniques, particularly, ELISA, tissue/cell culture and PCR (desirable). The postholder will also be required to undertake phlebotomy training as part of their role. An undergraduate qualification in a relevant biological discipline (e.g., biomedical science, biochemistry, biological sciences) is essential.
