This is an exciting opportunity to join an internationally leading research team working to understand the mechanisms causing obesity and find and test new weight loss treatments.
The Research Nurse will work as part of an established team providing nursing support for a range of experimental medicine studies and clinical trials led by Professor Sadaf Farooqi. They will be responsible for recruiting patients and provide support and clinical care for the patients involved in clinical trials. The postholder will need to travel to clinics/surgeries across the UK to assess patients before, during and after their recruitment into trials. Excellent clinical skills including venepuncture and cannulation are required as is experience of data entry and verification.
Applicants must have a professional nursing qualification, at least 2 years post-registration clinical experience and some experience of clinical research is needed.

The funding supporting this position is available until 31st May 2027 in the first instance.
