We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional with a passion for higher education to join UWE Bristol’s Academic Quality and Partnerships Enhancement (AQPE) team as a Quality Adviser. AQPE provides university-wide support for the ongoing development and review of UWE Bristol’s educational portfolio across three interconnected areas of activity: curriculum, standards and accreditation, and collaborative provision. This role is based within the standards and accreditation service area. We support oversight and operational processes for the recruitment, appointment and annual reporting of the university’s external examiners, an important part of our quality assurance processes. We work with academic teams and professional services across the University and at our partner institutions as well as with our external experts.
About you
A team player with a “can do” attitude, you have broad-based experience in a professional or specialist service within a large complex organisation (such as a Higher Education Institution). You’re qualified to graduate level or with equivalent experience, and have excellent organisational, interpersonal and IT skills. You’re skilled in working independently to manage and prioritise a flexible portfolio, and in collaborating successfully with a wide range of stakeholders using your strong written and spoken communication skills. You have experience in extracting, analysing and interpreting data, and are confident in presenting it appropriately to a range of audiences. Proactive and enthusiastic, you demonstrate a commitment to your own continuing professional development. You’ll thrive in a demanding yet rewarding environment, and have the passion to make a real difference to the University and our students.
