We are seeking an organised and proactive Senior Faculty Administration Assistant (Statutory Professors) to join the Faculty Operations Team. Reporting to the Faculty and Researcher Administration Manager, you will be part of a collaborative Faculty Services team of around 20 staff delivering high-quality, responsive support to academic colleagues across the School’s disciplines.

This is a varied and engaging role suited to an enthusiastic professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively and can manage changing priorities with confidence and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary administrative contact for Statutory Professors, coordinating support and acting as a bridge between them and the wider School administration.
  • Organise and service meetings related to professors’ projects, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, arranging venues, coordinating catering and IT/AV requirements, and setting up online meetings.
  • Arrange complex UK and international travel, ensuring compliance with visa requirements and risk assessment procedures where required.
  • Provide administrative support on financial matters, including raising purchase orders, processing expense claims and coordinating invoices through relevant finance systems.
  • Maintain and update publication records in the University’s repository system and the School’s faculty management system.

You will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence in working with colleagues at all levels, both within and beyond the School. Strong organisational skills are essential, with the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload, meet deadlines and respond effectively to urgent tasks. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, including accuracy in documentation and administrative processes, as well as the ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and tact.
