At the AMRC Cymru, you will join a collaborative, diverse team of talented professionals in a state-of-the-art research facility. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are dedicated to fostering an environment where every individual’s ideas are valued and respected. You will contribute to the development of demonstrators and prototypes, advise on technical challenges, and stay at the forefront of Industry 4.0 Digital Manufacturing Technologies.

The role also involves liaising with cross-functional teams, engaging in knowledge transfer and outreach activities, managing project timelines and resources, and assisting with risk assessments, project management, and procurement. You will be expected to deliver clear technical reports and presentations, and participate in public engagement to promote the centre’s research excellence.

Who We Are Looking For

We seek candidates with a 2:1 or above in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent industrial experience), with a technical background in at least two of the following: process modelling and simulation, digitalisation, automation, or lean manufacturing. You will have experience in a similar environment and proven ability in discrete event simulation software.

You must demonstrate a strong understanding of Industry 4.0 and the benefits of applied manufacturing technology for business efficiency and decarbonisation. Experience in risk assessment writing, project management, and project scoping is desirable.
