About the role
Imperial College London is seeking an exceptional Senior International Relations Manager to lead our strategic education and mobility partnerships. You will be at the heart of connecting Imperial students and researchers with world-leading institutions globally, while managing our UK Turing Scheme and Erasmus+ contracts—positioning Imperial as a leader in international education opportunities.
This is a key role combining strategic partnership development, regulatory expertise, and programme leadership. You will work at senior levels across Imperial, advising leadership on international mobility opportunities and risks, while overseeing multiple high-impact student mobility programmes that create unique experiences for our students and build lasting institutional partnerships.
What you would be doing
You will serve as a central point of contact for strategic mobility activity at Imperial, combining three critical dimensions:
Strategic Partnership Development: You will be a credible and trusted advisor to senior leadership and academic colleagues, leveraging your extensive international networks to identify and develop student mobility and education opportunities aligned with Imperial's priorities.
Turing Scheme & Erasmus+ You will take responsibility for managing and administering Imperial's Turing and Erasmus+ contracts and associated funds in full compliance with UK Government and European Union regulations. You will prepare annual bids for Turing funding, manage all reporting requirements, and maintain an 'audit ready' state of compliance.
Programme Management & Student Experience: You will lead the strategic direction and development of Imperial's student mobility programmes. You will oversee programme administration, manage budgets, negotiate partnership agreements, and ensure an excellent student experience through structured duty of care frameworks.
