Job Purpose: 

The National Bank of Slovakia is launching a Graduate Programme to be started in September 2026.

We are looking for an experienced professional to contribute to coordinate, design, develop and deliver the new postgraduate programme at the NBS. As key members of the Economic Education Department, the successful candidates will play a central role in supporting all departmental activities. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Curriculum Development and Teaching: Design and deliver foundational economic courses. Create practical learning activities, such as case studies and simulations, that bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world application in central banking.
  • Content creation: Produce high-quality educational content, including lecture materials, reading lists, and multimedia resources.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and implement effective assessment methods that accurately measure understanding and engagement. Provide constructive feedback to programme’s participants to support their academic and professional growth.
  • Programme Support: Collaborate with the Programme Coordinator and the Head of Education to ensure the smooth academic operation of the programme. This includes supporting application processes, student onboarding, academic advising, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Innovation: Stay current with trends in economic education and central banking. 

In addition, as part of the team and together with the Head of Education, the post holder will contribute to: 

  • Programme Development and Support: Actively contribute to the planning and execution of advertising and marketing campaigns. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the programme, including managing the application process, coordinating with guest lecturers, and supporting all programme activities. 
  • Communication: Handling internal and external communications to effectively promote the programme and its visibility within the Bank and outside. 
  • Departmental Support: Actively supporting all professional activities of the Economic Education Department. 

Qualifications and Experience: 

Education: A master’s in economics or related field. 

Experience:

  • Ideally a minimum of 3 years of academic experience, with 5 years preferred for candidates without a PhD. This experience includes teaching, designing and coordinating modules.
  • Proven expertise in curriculum development and pedagogical design, particularly in a professional or academic setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex economic concepts into clear, engaging, and practical lessons.
  • Demonstrated ability of bridging academic knowledge with professional practice.
  • An understanding of the central banking environment and its role in the economy is a significant plus.
  • A demonstrated ability to effectively work with and engage a diverse student population. 

Other Skills: Strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Language requirements: English proficiency are required (no Slovak needed).
