Aston Law School is seeking to appoint an exceptional academic leader to the position of Professor in Law and Artificial Intelligence. This is a career‑defining opportunity for a scholar with an outstanding international profile in Law & AI or related areas, who is excited by the prospect of joining a distinctive, growing, and research‑active Law School within a collegial and forward‑looking environment.
The successful candidate will play a central role in developing Aston’s strategic capabilities in law and digital technologies. You will contribute to, and help lead, major cross‑university initiatives, including:
You will be expected to produce world‑leading research, secure significant external funding, lead interdisciplinary collaborations, and cultivate influential partnerships with industry, regulators, and policy bodies. You will also shape and deliver teaching across LLB, LLM and doctoral programmes, supporting Aston’s reputation for applied, future‑focused legal education.
