About the role
Reporting to the Senior E-learning Visual Designer, the E-Learning Visual Designer is an integral part of the Kings Digital Creative Media Team, designing and creating a range of visual elements and engaging content across our online courses to enhance the learning experience of our global student community.
You will take the lead in designing and creating a range of visual elements such as graphics, illustrations, data visualisation and animations for a range of online courses.
You will be responsible for all aspects of visual design from ideation to delivery and will collaborate closely with other members of the Creative Media Team, including Media Producers and Video Editors, to facilitate media workshops with academic stakeholders and contribute to wider production activities as part of established workflows.
You will work closely with a range of other teams across the department including Learning Designers, UX specialists, Project Managers and E-Learning Content Developers.
You will be creative, collaborative and adaptable with excellent organisation and communication skills. You will demonstrate both technical and design expertise and be able to advise on best practice to support the creation of exceptional e-learning assets. You will be confident interpreting and contributing to design guidelines and actively seek opportunities to innovate practises and systems.
You will be confident interpreting complex briefs in order to develop visual concepts and comfortable advising colleagues who are not familiar with design/media about relevant timescales and processes. You will show an understanding of accessibility principles and their application to visual design and regarding e-learning development.
This is a full time post (35 hours per week) and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
